THE world's biggest coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support got a helping hand from Treacle's Tea Shop in Chiddingfold.

The owner, Tracey Honeysett, hosted a fundraising village tea party with the help of villager Michael Moore, which raised more than £850.

Tracey said: "We had it on Wednesday rather than Friday and turned it into a little tea party with cake and sandwiches.

"It was such a nice day everyone sat outside and we had a raffle, too, with prizes donated by Sainsbury's and the Chiddingfold butcher.

"We were really pleased by the amount raised. Macmillan is a charity everyone knows and everyone knows someone who has been helped by it. "
