The crime map for Farnham has been updated: and it makes fairly good reading for the police with levels falling in two patches and a slight rise in the other.

The biggest drop took place south of the Wey in the Wrecclesham, Rowledge and The Bourne patch with 43 crimes reported in April compared to 61 the month before.

And unusually, crimes involving violence or sexual offences (VSOs) weren’t the most commonly reported with ten incidents taking place during the month.

Police received eleven reports of anti-social behaviour with most taking place in and around Weydon Hill Road.

There was also a minor spate of vehicle crimes around Riverdale while burglaries were reported on Kings Lane, Ryle Road and Latchwood Lane during the month.

The number of crimes reported in Farnham Town Centre dropped from 59 to 55 with VSOs accounting for 15 of the total.

The Lidl car park was the most “crime ridden” part of the town centre with six crimes, ranging from anti-social behaviour to bike theft, being reported during the month, followed by The Borough with five.

The next most frequently reported crimes involved criminal damage and anti-social behaviour (both eight) followed by shoplifting (7).

Crime levels remain steady in the Weybourne, Badshot Lea and Moor Park patch but there was a slight increase, with offences rising from 28 to 30.

One in every six offences took place in or around the BP garage on the A31 Farnham bypass although only one of these involved shoplifting.

Crimes involving VSOs and anti-social behaviour were the most frequently reported with police also receiving reports of three vehicle crimes and an offence involving drugs on Pine View Close in Badshot Lea.
