FARNHAM U3A will hold its latest recruitment sessions at the Farnham Maltings from 11am to 4pm on Wednesday and Thursday (August 30 and 31).

These give an opportunity for people to find out a bit more about U3A, an organisation with more than 1,000 branches in the country and close to 400,000 members.

Farnham U3A itself has more than 1,300 members and offers a wide selection of opportunities for people who are no longer in full-time work or bringing up children full time.

The range of possibilities includes active groups such as swimming, tennis, bowls and table tennis, six different languages and pastimes such as handcrafts, music appreciation – jazz, opera and singing, art including painting and photography and history, philosophy and many others.

People are invited to come along to the Maltings to see if it suits them.
