THE Limes Day Care Centre in Alton has put out an urgent appeal for a second minibus driver. Attached to Alton Community Hospital in Chawton Park Road, and run by independent registered charity, Age Concern Hampshire, the centre provides day care facilities for mentally and physically frail older people living in Alton and the villages, the aim being to not only improve the quality of their lives but to offer relief and support to their carers. Open five days a week, Monday to Friday, the centre can accommodate 10 clients daily in a stimulating, welcoming, socially friendly place where clients are said to be "happy to spend a fun day", which includes a nutritious midday meal. The centre is run by manager Stephanie Cruse, with the support of assistant managers, support workers, passenger assistants, volunteers and the bus drivers.
