THOUGHTLESS vandals have been blamed for damage to the new gate and fence at the Scout and Guide headquarters in Station Road, Bordon.

Both were damaged on the morning of Saturday, April 13 by vandals who cut the fence at the back of the building and a cut a hole on the gate, both of which were only recently erected thanks to grants from East Hampshire District Council, Whitehill Town Council and the Bordon Charity.

An HQ spokesman said: "The gate has also been damaged by hitting it against the building and bending the top bars.

"Now money that had been put aside for the internal decoration of the building will have to be used to repair the damage done by thoughtless vandals."

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the MoD police on 01420 485570.
