FOUR Marks butcher Norman Read has seen his livelihood threatened by a vicious hate campaign which last week erupted into the public domain as a rash of notices appeared warning that an 'Animal Rights Movement' would be targeting his shop.
The notices were pasted up on lamp posts and notice boards in Four Marks and the surrounding villages while others were pushed through the doors of council and newspaper offices.
A full version of this story will be found in the Alton Herald of December 22, 2000.
