ANCHORSTONE Nursing Home in Farnham paid its respects on Armistice Day with a service for residents and staff.

The Exhortation was read by Fred Perkins, whose wife is a resident at Anchorstone, ably assisted by resident Cyril Nutt. Both of whom wore their medals with pride.

Fred served with the fifth Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment, Wiltshire Regiment and DCLI and last year was presented with the Legion D’honneur. Cyril served with the first Battalion Gordon Highlanders in Edinburgh.
