AN animal referral hospital in Alton has celebrated a successful first year with a barbecue for staff and a special anniversary cake.

Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists employs nine referral clinicians who offer a range of advanced diagnostics and treatments for dogs and cats, including high-field MRI and CT scanning, keyhole surgery, interventional cardiac procedures and joint replacements.

Cardiology specialist Dr Luca Ferasin is Lumbry Park’s clinical director and reports to CVS referral director Professor John Innes.

Dr Ferasin said: “It’s just a year since our team came together in preparation for the official opening of Lumbry Park. The glorious weather was just too good an opportunity to miss to get the team together for a barbecue and anniversary celebration. I am grateful to them all for their commitment and dedication this year and we are now setting our sights on even greater success in our second year.”
