VILLAGERS in Wield and Medstead have been up in arms over the newly adopted farming practice of using processed sewerage solids as an organic fertiliser.
The best two weeks of the summer were ruined for them, they claim, because of a foul odour emanating from two fields in the area.
Now environmental health officers, farmers and representatives of Thames Water, which supplies the product, are to meet to discuss the best procedure for its use.
