Staff at the Vinegar Hill Branch on The Borough in Farnham received a call on Sunday evening at around 8:30pm after it was alleged three young people came and kicked in the shops side window before making way.
A glazier came to fix the shop window on Monday to get it fixed as soon as possible, the shop remained open for customers on Monday despite the vandalism.
A staff member from Vinegar Hill said: “It just sounded like three youths messing around and then one came along and kicked in the side window. The shop was closed at the time so no staff witnessed the vandalism but a bystander was there and they recorded the incident. This has been passed to Police.”
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “At around 8:30PM on Sunday, 23 August officers were called to reports of a window which had been smashed at Vinegar Hill, a shop on The Borough in Farnham. On attendance officers assisted in boarding up the damage to the shop in order for the premises to remain secure and spoke to witnesses to gather details of the perpetrators who had already left the scene. Investigations remain ongoing at this time.”
