A NEW school cafe in Farnham, school studio and recital rooms in Rowledge and several other local homes and buildings have been shortlisted in the People’s Choice category of the Waverley Design Awards 2015.

People have until Friday, September 25, to nominate their favourites and the competition is hotting up as Waverley has already received hundreds of votes from people rooting for their beloved buildings to win the prestigious title.

Brian Adams, Waverley’s portfolio holder for planning, said: “Waverley is one of the most beautiful places in the country and we are lucky to be surrounded by some amazing and attractive buildings.

“The People’s Choice category is a fantastic way to celebrate some of the most innovative designs throughout the borough.

“The standard of entries this year has been outstanding and we should be proud that we have so many excellent examples of design on our doorstep.”
