A retail pod for We Buy Any Car could be installed on part of a supermarket car park in Farnham.

The application to install a pod measuring 37 square metres at Sainsbury’s Water Lane has been submitted to Waverley Borough Council.

The pod, which will be built off-site and delivered, will take up three parking spaces in the Howdens corner of the car park and will have four solar panels on its roof if approved.

The accompanying paperwork gives an insight into how WBAC operates, stating that pods typically deal with 12 cars a week.

The statement adds: “The cars are taken off site within 24 hours of the purchase and sold at a local auction within seven days.”
