TO coincide with World Book Day last Thursday, Alton Town Council is asking residents which adaptation of a Jane Austen novel is their favourite.

Town clerk Leah Coney said: “Pride and Prejudice has been included as one of the ultimate list of 50 books that will change your life, but is it your favourite? Let us know at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/JA200.”

The survey will be open until Tuesday, March 14.

Free tickets will be offered for seclected screenings of Austen classics with dedicated showings for schools, older people and the public, on a first-come-first-served basis. The films will be shown in April and September.
