THE Forces Film Festival culminated in a premiere event at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, with The Phoenix Youth Theatre group's film picking up awards.

Nine groups from Hampshire had the opportunity to share their work, from the Ministry of Defence Anim-ation Project, at the red-carpet screening event, at which audiences were able to see films created by the young people about the military in their communities.

After the films, individual and group awards were presented.

The Phoenix Youth Theatre's film Miriam's Gift won, among others, both the critics' and people's choice awards.
