YOUTH issues will be top of the agenda at a community forum being held next week. The forum - previously known as the North East Area Community Committee - covers Whitehill, Bordon, Headley, Lindford, Liphook and Grayshott. Andy Ferrier, head of community at East Hampshire District Council, said: "If you are a young person, we want to know about the things that you'd like to change in the area and what issues really matter to you. "Coming along to the forum is a great way to get your views across. It will help councillors understand your needs and help in the planning of services. "The meeting will be very informal and you will have chance to talk to other young people and your councillors in small groups." Adults who work or volunteer with young people are also being encouraged to attend the forum in Liphook. Anyone providing a new service for young people is also invited. The forum will feature a presentation by council officers on "planning for the unexpected" in business. Earlier this year, the district council was given responsibility for encouraging businesses to improve their planning against disruptions and potential disasters, such as flooding, IT failure, fuel shortages and even a possible flu pandemic. Officers will invite comments and suggestions from the audience. The community forum meeting will be at the Liphook Millennium Hall, in Ontario Way, on Tuesday, November 21, at 6-30 pm.
