ALPHA Trampoline Club has made a fantastic start to the regional season with a set of outstanding results at the first national development pathway competition.

At a competition in Eastleigh in February, the club saw fantastic performances from all corners of the hall, with members stepping up to produce excellent routines when it really counted.

Members were taking part in both trampoline and double-mini-trampoline and there were qualification and podium successes across the board.

The super standard on show from Holybourne-based Alpha meant that 19 out of 22 trampoline gymnasts and 13 out of 17 double-mini gymnasts hit the qualification score which entitles them to compete at a qualifying event at the end of March to try to make the southern regional team.

With many first-time competitors, as well as competitive stalwarts, and members ranging in age from eight to 18, everybody produced quality routines and passes which was a testament to all the work put in at the club.

Alpha, which is based at Eggar’s School, was no stranger to the podium at the event either, with many top-three finishes.

The excellent results really reflect the hard work Alpha members and the club’s team of coaches put in, and everybody is looking forward to continuing the success at the second regional competition of the season.
