Crondall Petanque Club - which meets at the Cody Sports and Social Club near Fleet - is a keen supporter of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham.
Some 25 of its members held an afternoon competition, raffle and cake stall to generate funds for the hospice’s expansion.
A club spokesperson said: “A great time was had by all and £350 was raised for the hospice, which has cared so well for some of our members’ loved ones.
“Petanque - French boules - is a great sport to play at any age, easy to pick up, cheap to play, and where camaraderie and competition meet in a friendly and sociable environment. If you fancy a free try-out session, please contact us at [email protected]”
