FARNHAM Road Club promoted evening time trials over both 25 miles (May 3) and ten miles (May 10).

Fourteen riders completed the 25-mile course, with Lee Chaplin (RT316) recording the fastest time of 57mins 05secs. He was followed by Steve Williamson (a3crg) in 57-35 and Joe Francis (Maidenhead & District CC) in 58-39.

Stuart Morgan was Farnham’s fastest rider in 1-02-17, followed by Greg Harding (1-05-25), John Cooke (1-07-39), Roger Chapman (1-08-57) and Huw Lloyd (1-09-09).

Hampshire Road Club’s Rachel Lamont was the fastest lady rider in 1-12-18.

Lee Chaplin returned the following week to also win the ten-mile event in 21mins 10secs, this time followed by Ryan Smith (HR Owen Maserati) in 21-15 and Alton CC’s Rick Froud in 21-26.

For Farnham Road Club, Huw Lloyd and Ian Howard both recorded 25-28. Fastest of the three lady riders was Rebecca Waters (Performance Cycles) in 25-48, with Anna Stedman (Charlotteville CC) clocking 25-50 and Deana Rice (Farnham RC) 32-23.

Timekeepers and helpers at these events were Jim Brown, Ian Thomas, Michael Rice and Nigel Bicknell.
