Farnham Town manager Paul Johnson has bemoaned his side’s injury crisis.
Sam Hutchinson and Jack Spong both went off injured during Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw against Truro City.
The duo are the latest names on Farnham’s injury list, with the Town particularly short of options in defensive positions.
“We're in desperate need now,” said Johnson.
“We only had four outfield players on the bench for the Truro game – we couldn't even name a full bench.
“We've lost Sam now. He felt something in his hamstring, so we won't see him for a few weeks.
“I’m not too sure on Jack. He rolled his ankle, so hopefully that’s nothing too serious.
“I'm not sure where we're going to go at the minute.
“All the injuries we’ve had to defenders has been a nightmare for us. We've lost Sam, so I think that's six now that are sitting on the sidelines.
“It's madness. I’ve not come across it all in one area of the pitch before.
“We will most probably go away, speak with Harry Hugo and Frankie Hobbs and see if there is anything we can do, but a lot of boys are tied up in contracts and money is money.
“We lost Erion Zabeli during the week for a bit with a hamstring injury. That's going to be a month, so no one is returning anytime soon.”
New Farnham loan signing Conrad Hunt made his debut for the club when he replaced the injured Hutchinson in the 79th minute against Truro, and Johnson was pleased with how the 19-year-old Watford loanee acquitted himself on his debut.
“Conrad is a young lad and he's come on in a situation where you don't really want to be thrown on as a defender, but I thought he equipped himself really well,” said Johnson.
