A FULL field of 40 pairs gathered for Cowdray Park Seniors’ annual Invitation event.

Winners with 43 points were Dave Hirons and guest Bill Houlton (Bognor Regis), on countback from Alan Godfree and Mike Vansittart (Worthing), whose round included an eagle on the par-5 fifth and a birdie on the par-5 eighth.

Four pairs tied on 42 points, with third place going to Paul Owen and Jeff Harper (Ferndown), followed by Bill Hummerston and Steve Lewis (Goodwood) and Dave Balfour and A Matthews (Burhill), with Chris Hoare and Jim Jewell (Slinfold) just missing out on a prize.

Nearest the Pin: 9th – Tony Sapsworth; 17th – John Buchanan (Littlehampton).

The raffle raised £375 for Chestnut Tree Children’s Hospice.
