HASLEMERE strengthened their mid-table position in the Hants/Surrey Regional 1 with a 3-3 draw against Fareham II at Woolmer Hill on Saturday.
Campbell Hancock, Cameron Moore and Chris Powell scored for the Blues, with Fergus Jackson and Scott Rawlings (2) replying for the visitors.
Haslemere lie sixth in the table with two tough matches to play and good results could yet get them in the top three, Basingstoke having completed their fixtures.
Haslemere are away to Epsom on April 7 and visit Croydon & Old Whitgiftians on April 14.
Haslemere Ladies 1st XI, meanwhile, have earned themselves a great chance to snatch the Hampshire League title from Winchester and win promotion to the South League.
Haslemere visited the city side on Saturday and came away with a superb 2-0 win. This followed Haslemere’s emphatic 4-0 victory at City of Portsmouth in midweek. Winchester thrashed Southampton 8-0 the same evening, but have now completed their fixtures, leaving them vulnerable at the top of the division, just two points above Haslemere who have one game to play.
If Haslemere, still unbeaten in the league with 19 wins in 21 matches, beat Romsey in midweek, they will be the Hampshire champions.
