ALRESFORD reached the quarter-finals of the Hampshire Senior Cup for the first time in their history with a superb display to eliminate multiple winners Aldershot Town.

The Shots, who clinched a place in the FA Cup third round last weekend, brought a talented youth squad to Arlebury Park to face the Magpies on Tuesday night, unlike in the previous round when near-neighbours Alton Town found themselves up against a team of senior pros.
