THE annual Liz Jukes Memorial Tournament took place at Brightwell Tennis Club last weekend.

Brightwell ladies were joined by guest pairs from Avondale and The Bourne and Liz’s daughters, Naomi and Emma, for a round-robin ladies’ doubles tournament, followed by tea and cakes, and then wine.

A series of close matches culminated in Group One winners Catherine O’Connor and Caroline Weaver playing Group Two victors Viv Hurt and Bobbie Cimino in the final. O’Connor and Weaver ran out the overall winners.

A keen sportswoman, Liz Jukes played tennis for Brightwell and also hockey for the original Farnham Ladies Hockey Club.
