BENTWORTH showjumper Scarlett Charles has had a fine run of success for the Team GB U18 junior team. She was on the winning Nations Cup team in both Opglabbeek (Belgium) and Hagen (Germany).

The 15-year-old, a pupil at Alton Convent, was riding Sacree Du Rouet, a 10-year-old bay mare owned by her father, Peter Charles, and could not have performed any better in Belgium when she posted a phenomenal clear across all three rounds, the only rider to do so in the entire competition.

Scarlett, the youngest GB Junior U18 member, went on to jump a double clear in the Grand Prix. In Hagen, she again showed talent and maturity beyond her years when she delivered a superb clear in round one and looked set to mirror this in round two, only to pick up one time fault.

This was again the best score for GB as Scarlett played a pivotal role in the team winning both Nations Cups in Belgium and Germany.
