POLICE in Waverley are appealing for help tracking down those responsible for stealing a haul of jewellery from a house off Farnborough Road, Farnham last Friday (June 1).

It’s believed the break-in occurred during the day, between 8.30am and 5.30pm. A large amount of jewellery was stolen, with the items taken including a Phillipe Charioll watch and a Gucci watch.

Officers would like to talk to the occupants of a black Audi A3 seen driving away from White House Walk at around 3.10pm on June 1. The car was believed to have been driving at speed towards the Shepherd and Flock roundabout.

PC Andy Cox from the Waverley Area Policing Team said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the break-in or have any information on the whereabouts of the items mentioned.

“Perhaps you were driving along Farnborough Road in Farnham at the time and witnessed a black vehicle speeding off, if so please get in touch with us.

“Maybe you work in an antique shop or a cash-for-gold shop and have seen items similar to these come in over the past couple of days.

"No matter how insignificant the information you have may seem, please call us as this could really help our investigation.”

Waverley Borough Neighbourhood Inspector Gary Smith added: “I am very aware that an offence of burglary is one of the most personal and abhorrent crimes that can occur and my team will always work to prevent offences and, when they do occur, will follow every line of enquiry available to bring offenders to justice.

"Waverley has seen a decline in burglary offences, compared to the same period last year, and this remains one of the safest boroughs in one of the safest counties in England.”
