ANNABEL Craig, 11, from Farnham has raised £452 after having 10 inches of her hair cut off for The Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs to children with cancer and alopecia and which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary.

Following in her sister Eliza’s footsteps Annabel has avoided the barber’s chair for more than 12 months so that she too could contribute to this worth while charity.

However unlike Eliza who raised more than £1,450 for the trust this has not been a long-term ambition. It first crossed Annabel’s mind last year at which point she realised that there were many children in desperate need of a wig, who would love her hair even more than she does.

The Little Princess Trust does not have enough donated hair to provide real hair wigs for all of the children in need - furthermore, it takes five hair donations to make a single wig.

To date the charity has provided more than 4,000 wigs to those in need, to help boost this total and Annabel’s total of £452 head over to her fundraising page at mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/bellacraig2 to donate.
