THE Farnham British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop marked a milestone recently, as it celebrated its 25th birthday on Wednesday last week.
Staff and shop volunteers celebrated the occasion with tea, cake and a birthday party. Certificates were also awarded to people who have been volunteering at the shop for over one year.
BHF area manager Mags O’Halloran said: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic 25 years of business in the Farnham shop. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers and volunteers who really make this shop special and help the BHF fund its life saving research.
“We are looking forward to welcoming even more customers in the shop and making the next 25 years equally as successful! We’re always in need of support, so if you are having a clear out in the coming weeks, please do keep us in mind as we would love to receive any good-quality donations such as clothing, shoes and books.
“If you would rather give the gift of time and have a couple of hours to spare each week please do get in touch with us on 01252 735990 as it would be great to welcome some new volunteers to the team.”
Located at 28, The Borough, Farnham, the shop offers a wide range of goods such as clothes, shoes, accessories, DVDs, books and CDs. The funds raised from the BHF shops helps to fund life-saving heart research and continue the fight for every heartbeat.
