MORE than 20 organisations have signed up for Farnham's Big Pick Week, which starts tomorrow and continues until March 25.

And there's still time to play a part in the move toward a litter-free town, which is being spearheaded by Farnham Town Council in conjunction with Farnham in Bloom.

The town's MP, Jeremy Hunt, is expected to be among those rolling up his sleeves.

Julia Potts, the councillor who leads Farnham in Bloom, said: "This is your opportunity to help clean up Farnham and its surrounding villages – all you have to do is pick a time and day during the nine days that best suits you, choose an area you would like to litter pick and let Farnham Town Council know."

The council will collect the litter that has been gathered and also supply bags and advice on how to collect safely.
