BELLS Piece Leonard Cheshire Disability service was “thrilled” to collect a cheque at Rowledge Bowling Club.
The presentation came against the backdrop of the club’s finals tournament, and the bowling was in full swing as it handed over the £923 proceeds of its charity day held in July.
Robert Green of Rowledge Bowling Club presented the cheque to Davina Scott, representing Bells Piece along with two other members of staff, Pauline Heade and Jenny Daniels, and service users Ray Lusk and Suzie Slingo.
Davina, Bells Piece deputy manager, said: “We at Bells Piece are really grateful for the support from the local community, as we would be unable to offer such a wide and fulfilling programme for our clients.
“It is just clubs and organisations like the Rowledge Bowling club that kindly support us and our work so that we are able to continue to support adults with a wide range of learning disabilities to have a productive, supported and inclusive life as possible.”
