A CAMPAIGN is being drawn up to stop a 24-acre field next to the town's university from falling into the hands of developers.
The site - like large swathes of Badshot Lea - featured in a document drawn up for Waverley Council earlier this year by consultants to identify land that might be available for housing.
Last week, the privately-owned land known as College Fields was ploughed for the first time in decades, sparking fears that the former hop fields could be lost as a green space.
