AN ancient ceremony, recorded by 17th Century naturalist Gilbert White, was reborn at Walldown Earthwork in Whitehill on Saturday in celebration of the Feast of St Barnabus, or the old summer solstice.

And it could even become an annual event and a site for weddings.
