CHILDREN from the Jo Jingles music and movement group in Farnham have been singing to raise money for the BBC Children in Need appeal.

The group has been fundraising through sponsored singing, a teddy bears picnic and the sale of the 2008 Jo Jingles charity CD.

It is hoped that around £700 has been raised by classes in the Farnham and Alton area which will add to the large contribution that the organisation nationwide makes to the Children in Need appeal.

Last year Jo Jingles raised £96,000 for the appeal and over the last four years the total has been more than £180,000.

Jo Jingles provides fun music, singing and movement classes for babies and young children from the age of six moths to five years.

In Farnham, classes began in February 1999 and are held at Farnham Maltings and Farnham Sports Centre, where children and their parents play musical instruments together and sing plenty of action songs.
