A CROWDFUNDING campaign has been launched to realise a Farnham man’s dream to turn an empty shop at the corner of Castle Street and The Borough into ‘The BatCafe’ comic book and coffee shop.

Ross Hastie, with the help of three fellow comic-loving friends all from Farnham, has set a goal of raising £20,000 to transform 10 The Borough, previously home to the No.10 Bridal Boutique, into “the number one destination for your geek culture and connoisseur coffee needs”.

According to their online fundraising page at www.gofundme.com/2g5vuzqh, The BatCafe will serve freshly prepared, organic coffee as well as the latest comics, graphic novels, books, toys and collectibles.

Several rewards are offered in return for donations, from a BatCafe poster for pledges of just £10 to free coffee and comics for one year, exclusive BatCafe membership and the opportunity to have a drink named after anyone who splashes out £10,000.
