MORE than 300 people joined BBC 1’s Strictly Come Dancing stars, Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe in the Farnham Maltings’ Great Hall last week for the duo’s first dance together in seven months.

The event marked the start of Ian and Natalie’s 52-night tour which they hope will encourage more people to kick off their slippers and put on their dancing shoes.

A spokesman for the Farnham Maltings said the event went really well and that the house was packed.

The show comprised a mix of conventional dance and dance for fitness punctuated with anecdotes about the off-screen antics of ‘Strictly’ host Bruce Forsyth.
