CASTLETON Dental Practice in Farnham is taking part in the ‘wear it pink’ campaign which raises around £2 million a year during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and since 2002 has raised more than £27 million, simply by people swapping an item of clothing for something pink and making a donation in return.
At Castleton Dental Practice the team has persuaded Peter Johnston, one of the partners, to have a bucket of water thrown over him for every £25 he raises, he is already half way to his target of £500. To watch Peter get a soaking, go to the dental practice in Castle Street on Friday, October 23, at 1pm.
Practice manager Jo Hounsham said: “This is a charity which is very close to our hearts. We try to choose a different charity every year which has relevance to one or all of ourselves.”
They will also be holding a pink cake sale on alongside the soaking from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
