WHEN pupils at The Holme Primary School heard the story of Helen of Troy and how a wooden horse was used to smuggle in Greek soldiers to destroy the city, they decided they wanted to build their own replica.
Although not quite as big as the original, which towered over Troy, it is quite an impressive model, standing a foot high, which the Headley pupils, mostly aged nine and 10, made with the help of site manager James Stewart.
A school spokesman said: "Building it has helped them with their studies of everyday life in maths, design and technology, and they have even put it on wheels so it is easy to move round the school."
