An East Hampshire inn which closed despite winning Pub of the Year is now on the market for £750,000.

The Binsted Inn, near Alton, was named Pub of the Year 2024/2025 for London and the South East by the Prestige Awards, but ceased trading in November 2025.

The village pub, which has six en suite guest bedrooms, is being marketed by Christie & Co.

It reopened under its current owners in 2021 following an extensive refurbishment, but closed four years later.

The freehold property includes a bar, restaurant, snug and six en suite guest bedrooms, as well as two-bedroom staff accommodation.

Planning permission has also been granted for eight shepherd’s huts, while the site has a beer garden, terrace and customer car park.

Situated in Binsted, within the South Downs National Park, the inn is surrounded by countryside and walking trails.

An open house for prospective buyers is due to take place on Monday, September 21.
