THIEVES have targeted the EE store in The Borough, Farnham, twice in one week, making off with mobile phones reportedly worth around £44,000.
Police say the phone shop was first targeted just before 3am on Sunday, May 27, when three suspects smashed through the front door, grabbed handsets and drove off.
But the store was hit again just five days later when, at around 2.50am last Friday, a car pulled up outside and four men again broke in before escaping with “a quantity” of valuable phones.
The Herald understands these included many of the store’s most expensive handsets, valued at a combined £44,000, and were swiped from a locked cabinet at the rear of the store.
One eyewitness also reportedly filmed the raid on their mobile phone.
An EE spokesperson said: “We can confirm there were two incidents at our store in Farnham, The Borough on May 27 and June 1.
“Thankfully no staff or members of the public were injured and we are supporting the police with their investigation.”
The suspects have not yet been located and enquiries remain ongoing.
