FOODIES can expect a culinary extravaganza in the coming weeks as Farnham’s 2016 Feast of Food kicks off on Saturday.
The Feast of Food, which is organised by Farnham Town Council and sponsored by Shield Security Services, is an annual celebration of gastronomy involving dozens of small businesses.
Among the events will be cookery masterclasses, demonstrations, restaurant deals, special menus, and a day-long food festival.
The Feast of Food starts with Foodie Fortnight, which runs until September 25.
A range of menus, some created specially for the fortnight, will be available at participating pubs and restaurants. Other culinary events will feature demonstrations, free cocktails and themed evenings.
Among those taking part in Foodie Fortnight are gold sponsor The Wheatsheaf pub, Thai Lotusland, The Duke of Cambridge pub and the Lion and Lamb Cafe. A full list of participating businesses is available online at farnham.gov.uk.
The Feast of Food continues with the annual Food Festival on September 24, and concludes with the farmers’ market on September 25.
