NOW approaching the end of its fifth year of teaching Emergency Life Support skills (ELS), the Heartstart Farnham Lions team of volunteer instructors and helpers expects to have trained around 850 local people before they take a well-earned summer break.

Places are still available for each of Heartstart Farnham Lions’ three remaining classes before the autumn, on May 3 and 17, and June 14. Classes are free to attend, although donations towards expenses are welcome should they be offered.

All classes take place at the St John Ambulance Hall, near Waitrose, Farnham, on Wednesday evenings, commence at 7pm and take about two and a half hours. Each class delivers the whole course.
