YOUNGSTERS from the Elstead Beavers have been given a tour of Farnham police station by their local bobby.

The 15 Beavers were greeted by Elstead police community support officer John Francis, who took them to meet police dogs Jack and Sam, took their fingerprints, and even locked up one girl for "pulling a funny face at a police officer".

PCSO Francis said: "Hopefully the visit showed the children not to be afraid of the police and that we are there to help and protect them."

The officer encouraged other local youth groups to call Farnham police station on 0845 1252222 to arrange future visits.
