ALTON Community Centre is looking forward to 2009 with a new building within touching distance, and a promise to involve members in getting the best deal for the town.
Pending the outcome, in January, of a feasibility study by East Hampshire District Council, the scene looks set for a joint project with Holybourne Theatre Company to construct a £4m landmark building in the bank car park.
