VIVALDI Singers will hold a Come and Sing Event at The United Reformed Church, South Street, Farnham tomorrow (Saturday).
The event will start from 1.30pm to register and collect music and will finish at about 6pm. There will also be a break and refreshments.
The programme will include Faure’s Requiem and Handel’s Coronation Anthems.
Founded in 1987, the Vivaldi Singers is a mixed voice choir of around 30 members, performing a wide range of music in all styles from the 15th century to modern compositions; from the light hearted to the serious.
“If you enjoy singing, why not come along and join us and meet other singers for an enjoyable afternoon of music,” said a spokesman for the group.
“We are a friendly choir of diverse abilities, from enthusiastic beginners to highly experienced semi-professionals.
“Our main aim is to perform a wide variety of music from different genres, often introducing our audiences to new composers alongside enduring favourites.
“We perform with a varied selection of musical ensembles, from string quartets to brass bands.”
• Vivaldi Singers will hold its spring concert ‘A Night At The Proms’ on St Georges’ Day (Saturday, April 23) at St Andrew’s Parish Church, Farnham at 7.30pm.
This concert will feature songs and music associated with the Proms and will be featuring the well known and award winning Friary Guildford Band.
Every one is encouraged to bring a hat and a flag for some traditional fun and participation. There will also be music from some of England’s greatest composers.
“This promises to be a great evening so bring the whole family for a great experience and a real treat,” said a Vivaldi Singers spokesman.
