FRIENDS and family gathered together to celebrate Isabel Muir’s 100th birthday with a garden party in her Weybourne home.

It was a lovely occasion with family members travelling from the USA to be with her on the day.

Isabel wanted to mark her special day with a gift to others and donated £100 to The Hedgehogs who in turn added to the gift and presented Farnham ASSIST with a cheque for £750.

Isabel is supported by the charity with a befriender who visits her regularly and wanted to demonstrate how much she enjoys these visits.

Her son Alastair, a member of The Hedgehogs, was instrumental in organising the gift which was presented to the manager June Trantom and volunteer Gerry Crawshaw at the party by Clive Cook, Hedgehogs’ secretary.

Isabel thanked the many people who sent good wishes and all those who care for her - particularly the staff from Smart Care, who enable her to live independently in her own home.
