AS part of the CSA Network UK open day, Farnham Local Food, a not-for-profit growing scheme owned and run by the local community, is opening its farm gates to the public for a fun-filled family day out.
People are being invited to meet the farm’s growers and volunteers on Sunday, October 1. from 10am to 3pm at The Packhouse in Tongham Road, Runfold.
Visitors can take a tour of the vegetable fields; pick up a pumpkin in time for hallowe’en; learn what is grown and how; and explore the pop-up farm shop, which stocks the farm’s organically grown vegetable fresh from the field, arts and craft and local produce.
There will also be a kids farm activity trail, kids crafts and local food and drink stalls. Entry is free, for more information see the website www.farnhamfood.com/.
