A MAN has been jailed for seven months after pleading guilty to a string of thefts from shops across the county including Argos in Farnham.
Nathan Taylor, 23, of Chineham, Basingstoke, pleaded guilty to seven offences at East Surrey Magistrate’s Court in Redhill.
These included the theft of an Xbox from Argos in West Street, Farnham, on August 14, as well as thefts of video games, DVDs and cigarettes from various stores in Guildford, Epsom, Haslemere, Chertsey and Woking.
Pc Rebecca Thomson, who led the investigation, said: “The lengthy investigation into these offences demonstrates our commitment to bringing offenders to justice and the sentence handed to him in court reflects the severity of his offending which would most certainly have continued had he gone unchecked.”
