A NEW interactive farmyard experience has made its way to Squire’s Garden Centre in Badshot Lea for children to enjoy this summer.

Called ‘Patches Playtime’, children of all ages can discover life down on the (animatronic) farm and enjoy two shows with farm animal puppets, creating flower windmills, meeting Patches the scarecrow, and planting a magic carrot seed that grows into an organic carrot to munch on at home. Plus, very little children can enjoy digging for potatoes and washing the life-like cow and her calves.

Patches Playtime is open every day until August 31, between 10am and 4pm. Tickets cost £6.50 per child per hour and can be purchased online at www.squiresgardencentres.co.uk, or at Squire’s on the day.

Entrance to the pasture is on the hour, every hour, with last entrance at 3pm. There are no real animals in the pasture and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

A brand new wildlife hunt will also be taking place at Squire’s Garden Centre from August 27 to August 29.

Children are challenged to find the paper bugs hidden around the garden centre to reveal a secret word.

Once the word is discovered, adventurers will be rewarded with a sweet treat. Additionally, there will be free butterfly maze sheets and, once completed, children will receive a sticker.

There’s no need to book, so simply turn up on the day. All activities are on a first come, first served basis, and each activity lasts around 20 minutes.
