SOUTH West Surrey MP Jeremy Hunt is to pay more than £9,500 back to the taxpayer after breaching rules relating to expenses claims on his second home in Farnham.
The repayment accepted by the Commons Committee on Standards and Privileges will cover half the £19,117 mortgage and living costs claimed by Mr Hunt from November 2005 to June 2007 while constituency agent Margaret Chellingworth was staying rent-free on a number of nights a week.
