ONE of Farnham’s newest businesses held a successful launch party last month with MP Jeremy Hunt in attendance.
Carlton Psychology, which has been operating for nearly three months, held an official launch party on Friday, January 20, with the Mayor and Mayoress, John and Gillian Ward, joining Mr Hunt at the event.
Accompanied by 50 health professionals and a number of charity representatives, the psychology practice celebrated the launch of the new business.
Rebecca Ker, one of eight members of the team at the practice was thrilled with how the evening, and indeed the early stages of the business have gone.
She said: “It is going well, the clients love the space. We are very positive, very proud and extremely excited.
“Thank you to everyone who has worked with us.”
Mr Hunt took the opportunity to address to those in attendance to emphasise the importance of seeking help for mental illnesses and using services such as Carlton’s to get help and talk about, and begin to address any problems that may be encountered.
The new Farnham practice offers help and treatment for a range of issues adding that “there is no ’right’ reason for seeking psychological therapy”.
Issues that the trained psychologists help with include bereavement, relationship difficulties, domestic violence, the after effects of childhood abuse, as well as mental health problems which could include eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder or psychosis.
