THE battle for public toilets in Normandy Street continues, with the district council announcing that it has no budget for a public convenience, only the £7,000 left over from six years ago.
At a meeting with the Alton Promotion Marketing Forum on Tuesday, EHDC's head of environment, Steve Read, wanted to establish that a public convenience was the best way to spend the money, which was supposed to have provided a toilet provision in Normandy street in 1994/5.
